Akagera National park is an open-area of 1,200 km² in eastern Rwanda, which hosts a diverse species, the most attractive ones being the ones dubbed “The Big Five“, which includes Lions, Buffaloes, Rhinos, Leopards, & elephants.
We will explore the park by driving through for 5 – 7 Hours, and get a chance to encounter all sorts of animals in the open field, in an activity called Game Drive, where each person tries to spot their favorite animal as we drive along.

Everyone must be at Athenee, Kigali so we can depart at the same time. Since we are passing on our way to Kabuga, we can pick up people who are located nearby the route we will pass by. Avoid oversleeping so you won’t be left behind.
arriving at the park reception will be given the briefing of the day then embark for a game drive
after briefing will start a the activities of the day by driving from southern to the north of the park enjoying the view of the lakes and spotting different species of animals
inside the park there are some picnic area where will go out for break
will end our game at Nyungwe gate Then drive back to kigali
from exit will drive approximately 3hrs and 30min
